  • Plate State Proof for “Dispenser”

    Posted December 28th, 2008

I scraped the image out enough to proof the plate and looks like I have tons of work to do.  More scraping and a whole lot of burnishing.

    New Studio

    Posted September 19th, 2008

I have a new shared studio space in Georgetown!!  The space was very bare but now it is complete with a darkroom, etching presses, litho press and ventilated sink/hotplate area.  You can view pictures on Flickr

    NEW PRESS!!

    Posted July 13th, 2008

Many thanks to Micheal Peirce and his wife for their generosity and for giving me this 16 x 30 inch Charles Brand Press on the 4th of July. It came to me with heavy rusting on the bed plate and the roller. As you can see from the picture above and on Flickr, the bed plate was reground and the rust on the roller has been removed. Looks awesome and ready for pressing some mezzotints.

Just started to block in the image on the plate

    Posted May 3rd, 2008

I am trying a little experiment. This is the first time I have left a small margin around the image area. I am also going to engrave the title, date and signature on the plate to see how that will look. I can’t wait to see what happens!

    Mr. Kardinal

    Posted October 6th, 2007

Now finished and titled. I decided to name this after Shaun Kardinal simply because he posed for the print. It is a four color Etching and the dimensions are 6 x 9 inches.
